Representing a variety of disciplines — epidemiology, gastroenterology, hepatology, internal medicine, molecular biology, (interventional) oncology, pathology, (interventional) radiology, and surgery/transplantation — ILCA members are expert liver cancer professionals who support our organisation’s aim to increase the understanding of liver cancer and develop treatments that offer true hope for patients affected by the disease.

Membership Categories NEW
Medical Doctors

Scientists / Physicians working in fields related to liver cancer who have contributed knowledge to the field and devoted most of their professional activity to liver cancer treatment, research and /or education.

A reduction will apply for scientists / physicians who are working in low-income economies.
Low-income economies are defined as those with a gross national income per capita, calculated using the Word Bank Atlas method.

Membership Fees:
  • €75 – 1 Year
  • €25 – 1 Year (low-income)
  • €150 – 3 Years
  • €50 – 3 Years (low-income)
Non-Clinical Scientists

Non-clinical scientists and other qualified healthcare professional working in healthcare or research with an interest and educational background in liver cancer and /or science.

Membership Fees:
  • €25 – 1 Year
  • €50 – 3 Years
Trainees

Scientists / Physicians under the age of 35 who are in training and certified by their training programme director; Medical Doctors and non-clinical scientist under the age of 35, in training for any medical specialisation, registered in a PhD programme, and/or undertaking a residency or fellowship.

It is mandatory to provide an updated CV in English and a letter of recommendation that is certifying the training programme and has been signed by the training programme director.

The trainee membership can be valid only for the duration of the training.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate medical and science students doing their first degree and interested in liver cancer.

Membership is free and benefits are limited.

Nurses

All qualified nurses working in the liver cancer field.

Membership Fees:
  • €25 – 1 Year
  • €50 – 3 Years
Pharmacists

Pharmacists with an interest in liver cancer.

Membership Fees:
  • €25 – 1 Year
  • €50 – 3 Years
Retired

Medical professionals who have now retired but are interested in keeping up to date with developments in liver cancer and research.

This applies to scientists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, non-clinical scientists retired from full-time employment.

This category is only available to previously existing ILCA members who are 65 years or older.

Patient Advocates

Advocates working for recognised Patient Advocacy Groups.

Memebrship is free and it is mandatory to provide a letter from the Patient Advocacy Group they represent confirming their involvement.

Patient advocates do not have voting rights or discounts on ILCA events/products.

Industry Representatives

Allied health professional involved in Liver Cancer research and/or practice in the healthcare industry.

Industry representatives do not have discounts on ILCA events/product.

Terms & Conditions

Membership Products

ILCA offers a number of membership products based on the profile of prospective members and desired length of membership (one, two, or three years). The membership is active until the end of the calendar year.

Membership Approval Process

Upon receipt of your order, an invoice is issued. Membership requests are reviewed within 10 working days and any further communications are sent to the email address provided with the order request.

Approved members can access their profile via the ILCA Membership Area.

Membership Fees & Payments

Membership are based on the membership category and the desired length of the membership. All membership products and fees are published here.

An administration fee of € 10.00 is applied on all membership orders.

Payments can be processed online via credit card (AMEX, Mastercard or Visa), or via bank transfer. All payments are processed in Euro (€).

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All membership cancellation requests must be sent in writing to [email protected].

Cancelled memberships (incl. fees) are not refundable. In case of accidental overpayment, members can decide whether to use their credit and extend it towards the renewal of their membership in the following year, or to be refunded.

Refunds will be made using the same method of payment, i.e. credit card or bank transfer. If applicable, bank transfer fees may be deducted from the refunded amount. All refunds are subject to the prevailing exchange rates.

Governing Laws

Any dispute resulting from the above terms and conditions will be subject to Swiss law, and by accepting these terms you are submitting yourself to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.
