We are proud to launch the Brussels Call to Action on Liver Cancer, a joint advocacy statement emerging from the ILCA Annual Conference 2026 in Brussels. The Call to Action brings together the global liver cancer community around a shared commitment to elevate liver cancer on the global health agenda and accelerate action on prevention, early detection, equitable access to care, research, and innovation.
Liver cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide, yet many cases are preventable, and outcomes can be improved through timely diagnosis and access to effective treatment. The Brussels Call to Action outlines a clear roadmap for governments, health authorities, policymakers, and stakeholders to address this growing public health challenge.
Throughout Liver Cancer Awareness Month, ILCA will continue to shine a light on the urgent need for greater awareness, stronger political commitment, and improved access to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care for people affected by liver cancer worldwide.
Join the global movement to make liver cancer a public health priority. We invite healthcare professionals, patient advocates, scientific societies, institutions, and organizations to formally endorse the Brussels Call to Action and help drive meaningful change for patients worldwide.
