Sept. 2-5, 2021
Uncertainty is all around us, never more so than today. The current COVID-19 pandemic has heightened uncertainty over not only health and the economy but also over how medical meetings are delivered. As in 2020, ILCA remains committed to holding its annual conference and will do so on 2-5 September 2021. During these days, we will bring you the best in education and research in a format designed to help attendees better prevent and treat liver cancer. This is the hallmark of every ILCA meeting.
We are preparing our 2021 conference to be a virtual event. In doing so, we can commit to the conference being held as scheduled and thereby offer the liver cancer community a sense of certainty and control over when and how their learning can take place.
We also recognise the innate desire of our community to come together in person. With this is in mind and where possibilities allow, we would like to hold a physical extension to the virtual meeting at the same time and make the 2021 conference a hybrid event. Naturally, the safety and well-being of all involved are paramount to us and we will be liaising closely with the local authorities. The physical component would be held in Madrid, Spain, and more details about the programme and logistics will be communicated soon.
